In Need Of Romance 2012 - Opinião (Review)

Quem me conhce já sabe do meu grande amor por dramas asiáticos. Encontrei o In Need Of Romance 2012 por acaso no Netflix quando este me apareceu como recomendado e, apesar de não ser o melhor que vi até hoje, gostei bastante. 

Neste drama acompanhamos a vida de dois ex-namorados, Yeol-mae e Yoon Seok-hyun, que são também melhores amigos e que vivem em casas coladas construídas pelas mães deles, sendo que também elas eram melhores amigas. Com uma relação longa e extremamente conturbada, em In Need Of Romance 2 vemos como é que a vida de cada um deles se vai desenrolando, assim como a das duas amigas mais chegadas de ambos, Seon Jae-kyung e Woo Ji-hee, enquanto a vida segue em frente e possíveis novos romances surgem. 

Pelos vistos esta é a segunda temporada de um drama, no entanto, não é preciso ver a primeira para ver esta, nem ver esta para conseguir ver a terceira, tanto que a série me foi apresentada como In Need Of Romance 2012, daí eu só ter descoberto que tínhamos três temporadas diferentes, e que esta é a segunda, quando já ia a meio. 

Em geral, a série em si é bastante interessante. É nos apresentado um passado bem construído entre as personagens e os factos são nos entregues no momento certo para percebermos tudo o que precisamos de saber. 

Quanto aos atores, estes dramas nunca desiludem. Os atores são sempre perfeitos para o seu papel. Temos a incrível Jung Yu-mi como Yeol-mae e o fantástico Lee Jin-wook como Yoon Seok-hyun, e ambos, enquanto personagens principais, brilharam. Como personagens secundárias, é de destacar Kim Ji-seok como Shin Ji-hoon, um interesse romântico de Yeol-mae, Kim Ye-won como Kang Na-hyun, uma colega de trabalho de Yoon Seok-hyun e as super engraçadas Kim Ji-woon e Kang Ye-sol como Seon Jae-kyung e Woo Ji-hee respetivamente, as melhores amigas das personagens principais, assim como In Gyo-jin e Heo Tae-hee que fazem de par romântico das amigas, respetivamente. Já as amizades que são retratadas, foram, na minha opinião, fantásticas e extremamente realistas. 

Quanto à soundtrack, também esta foi muito bem escolhida, havendo uma música constante durante toda a série, I Could Give You Love de Lasse Lindh que, durante os episódios todos, toca diversas vezes e mesmo assim consegue não se tornar repetitiva.

Então o porquê de não ter apreciado mais a série? Isto deveu-se ao arrastar da história. Sim, a história é super boa, a soundtrack é incrível e o elenco é ótimo. No entanto, ao tentarem fazer tantos episódios, de 40 minutos cada um, a história acabou por ser puxada ao seu limite e as personagens acabam por ter atitudes desnecessárias e que serviram apenas para criar drama. Até certo ponto, acabaram mesmo por tornar a excelente relação entre Yeol-mae e Yoon Seok-hyun em algo a tocar os limites do tóxico. Por isso, teria preferido que tivessem sido feitos menos uns 5 episódios, o que, na minha opinião, só iria beneficiar a série. 

Ignorando o arrastar dos episódios, em geral, foi uma série que gostei bastante. Sem dúvida que vou ver tanto a 1ª temporada, como a 3ª e espero gostar tanto do elenco como gostei deste. Assim sendo, recomendo In Need Of Romance 2.

Anyone who knows me, knows my great love for Asian dramas. I found In Need Of Romance 2012 by chance on Netflix when it appeared to me as recommended and, although it was not the best I've seen to date, I really enjoyed it.
In this drama we follow the lives of two ex-boyfriends, Yeol-mae and Yoon Seok-hyun, who are also best friends and live in bonded houses built by their mothers, who were also best friends. With a long and extremely troubled relationship, in In Need Of Romance 2 we see how each one's life unfolds, as well as the lives of their two closest friends, Seon Jae-kyung and Woo Ji-hee, while life goes on and possible new romances arise.

Apparently, this is the second season of a drama, however, you do not need to see the first to see this one, nor see this one to get to see the third, so much that the series was presented to me as In Need Of Romance 2012, and I discovered that there are three different seasons when I was in the middle of this one.

In general, the series itself is quite interesting. It presents us with a well-constructed past between the characters and the facts are delivered to us at the right time to realize everything we need to know.
As for the actors, these dramas never disappoint. The actors are always perfect for their role. We have the incredible Jung Yu-mi as Yeol-Mae and the fantastic Lee Jin-wook as Yoon Seok-hyun, and both shine as main characters. As a supporting character, I need to talk about Kim Ji-seok as Shin Ji-hoon, a romantic interest in Yeol-mae life, Kim Ye-won as Kang Na-hyun, a co-worker of Yoon Seok-hyun and the super funny Kim Ji-woon and Kang Ye-sol as Seon Jae-kyung and Woo Ji-hee respectively, best friends of the main characters, as well as In Gyo-jin and Heo Tae-hee who are the romantic pair of this two, respectively. As for the friendships that are portrayed,  they were, in my opinion, fantastic and extremely realistic.

As for the soundtrack, it was also very well chosen, there's a constant music throughout the series, I Could Give You Love by Lasse Lindh that, during the episodes, is played several times and even so it manages not to become repetitive.
So why did not I enjoy the series more? This was due to the dragging of the story. Yes, the story is super good, the soundtrack is amazing and the cast is great. However, in attempting to do so many episodes of 40 minutes each, the story was eventually pulled to its limit and the characters end up having unnecessary attitudes and that served only to create drama. To some extent, they even made the excellent relationship between Yeol-mae and Yoon Seok-hyun something that, in my opinion, touched the limits of the toxic. So I would have preferred like minus 5 episodes, which in my opinion would only benefit the series.

Ignoring the drag of the episodes, in general, it was a series that I liked a lot. Undoubtedly I will see both Season 1 and Season 3 and I hope to enjoy the cast as much as I liked this one. That being said, I recommend In Need Of Romance 2.
